Sad day.
Today was a very sad day for me and my cute fam. Roxy is gone. I knew we had to get rid of her because of Jack's coughing (which is asthma and gets worse when he is around the dog) but I didn't think it would be this hard...okay, just kidding, I did. This nice young family came and got her and I am sure they will take such good care of her, but it is still hard. Kylee started crying when I told her (even though I have really been trying hard to prep her) then I started crying and said that these people's dog died and they wanted Roxy and it would make them really happy. So then she said, "oh, their dog died, okay, they will be happy with Roxy" it was the cutest thing. She is such a great girl. I miss Roxy already, and they just left. Well, I might be sulking for the next few days.

Woxy.
Well, I did it. I got the cutest dog ever. Her name is actually Roxy, but Jack can't say his "R's" so he says "woxy, or wox" It is the cutest thing ever. She is such a cute and good dog. She is doing so good with the potty training thing, she has only had a couple of accidents, but that is totally to be expected. There is some bad news that comes a long with it. I think Jack is allergic to her. I took him to the doctor yesterday to see, and it is looking like it. He gave me some medicine, and that seemed to help. What it is, is that Jack has a little bit of asthma every once in a while, and this dog has made it worse. I don't know what we are going to do. But just thought I would show a couple of pics, here she is.

Date Night
So, yesterday while Joe was at work, I had the funnest time listening to my kids plan a date night for our family. It was the cutest thing, so I had to blog about it. Jack, out of no where said, "Mom, when dad gets home from work, can we maybe go to the movie feater" (yes, I meant to write that with an "f", that is how he says it) anyway, "go to the movie feater and maybe watch kon-fu-panda (Kung fu Panda) , or wawlee (wall-e) and have popcorn?" By the way, we have already seen Kung fu Panda twice, and Wall-e once. So, I said "Jack, I don't know if it is at the movie theater anymore." So Kylee pipes in and says, "Mom, just blog-on (you know, log on) and see if it is there." So I "blogged" on and it was at the dollar movies, so we decided to go. Barb came over and played with Mia while we went. We got a large popcorn, and you should have seen those kids, it was like they were starving (this was right after dinner, keep that in mind) and Jack was so excited he could barely hold still in his chair. Every once in a while we would hear him talking to himself..."oh wow, those guys are so fast" "Oh, that guy is scary." It was a fun family date night, and the kids pretty much polished off the whole large popcorn, I couldn't believe it. They ate the ENTIRE TIME! Well, I love my fam, and it was a fun date night, and that's all. Oh, and I really want to get a dog, what do ya think? There is the cutest Golden Retriever Lab mix, and I am dying to get it. I know I am crazy!

My days with my boy.
I was just looking back at some pictures today, and found these pictures taken in Park City over the summer. It just reminded me of what my everyday life is with Jack. He is such a go-er. He is constantly getting into something, or drawing on something he isn't supposed to. The other day I was letting him and Kylee cut and color paper, and then next thing I knew, he cut a hole in Kylee's shirt. Oh, and this is the third time I have had to cut his hair because he likes to sneak into my salon and cut his own hair. He is such a good boy if I can always be watching him, but that is just impossible
Today he helped me make cookies, and he absolutely LOVED it. He loves to be doing something, especially if it means MESSY! Well, he definitely keeps me busy, but I love him to death. He is such a joy in my life along with my other kids. Now, here is a little about the pictures. We were in Park City with Joe's family (something we do every year and LOVE IT!!) Jack had disappeared into the other room and found Grandma's suitcase which had a bottle of chocolate mix. He got it and dumped it all over the bed, and was eating it, hence the chocolate mustache. Silly, but messy!!!

Family Pictures
Why is it that EVERY time we take family pictures (okay, so it has only been like 2 times) we NEVER have a great one? We probably took 100 or so pictures, and there was atleast one person doing something weird in the picture. So here is the best I could find. It is pretty much cute of everyone but me. Oh well. Then I had to make a collage (the next post down if you wanna see) of some cute random ones. I have to admit, my kids are far too cute for their own good.

Dream
Last night I had a dream, and I have to write it down before I foget it. So, there is no need to read further if you don't want to hear a dream that I think may have been real. For some reason when I dream sometimes, they are sooooo real. They honestly feel so real, and I actually wake up crying if I am crying in my dream. I wake up feeling like it really happened. Whether it did or not I don't know, but that is how I feel. So here is my dream last night. I was in bed in my dream.....I could see someone standing in the doorway, but I couldn't see who it was, I was trying soooooo hard to open my eyes and see who it was. I kind of started freaking out, cause I couldn't move or talk, or see much. Then she came closer, and I saw that it was my mom. She held my hand for a minute (it was sooooo nice to hold her hand), and then started to walk away. I sat up, grabbed her hand more, and begged her not to go. I was crying and she was too. Our hands slid apart, and she was gone. I woke up crying, and I had probably been talking or mumbling too, not knowing it. I love to have dreams about my mom, and I love to think that she gets to come and see me every once in a while. I miss and love her and I know she knows that! I am so grateful for the gospel and for the knowledge I have that I will be with her again someday. Sorry, about the random post, I just have to get it down somewhere or I know I will forget these feelings. Thanks for bearing with me.

PHOTO TAG
Here is another tag...The rules: Go to your picture files. Pick the 4th file, and the 4th picture in it. Tell a little about the picture. Tag 4 friends.
Okay, I love that this was the fourth picture in the fourth folder. This is such a great picture. This is Kylee like 2 years ago with Joe's aunt Patti. She is the one of the most awesome ladies I know. She is so cute. She always has so much enthusiasm, she is always so thoughtful, and she loves my kids. She is reading this binder to Kylee about Christ. This picture totally show her personality, although, she would probably hate that it is on my blog. Oh well!! CUTE!! Fun tag! I tag Jeni, Barbaloot, Shantel, and Meghan. GO!

Sunday Thoughts
Okay, so my thoughts don't really have much to do with Sunday, but it is in fact Sunday, so there you go. I have to start off on a sort of negative note, because I am a little bugged right now. I don't know if I am the only one with a stubborn husband, but I highly doubt that I am. (okay, so I admit, I am stubborn too, but that has nothing to do with it :) ) I think everyone in our ward must think me and Joe hate each other. EVERY week, I walk into the Chapel first, I choose the row, and I go in quite a ways, because I don't really know how much space we need. AND, every week, Joe comes in last and sits on the very edge, so when we are all settled I realize that he is half a mile away from me. So, I ask him so scoot over to me and sit by me, but does he? NO! He would rather sit by the stinking edge. He tells me I should scoot in. I was there first, I sat down first, if he wanted to sit by me, he needed to scoot in. Am I right? I don't know why it bugs me so bad, and it happens every week, and still no one has given in and scooted (is that even a word?) next to the other. Aren't we ridiculous. I admit, I am too, but still.....oh well.
So, my next thought today is how fun my friends are. Last night Joe and I went to a Murder Mystery dinner party with some friends, and it was soooo fun. We had to dress up as if we were in the 1920's (you know, that flapper girl era) and act out a scenario and figure out who murdered who. Can I just brag for a minute? I am the only one that figured it out.
I got an award for being the "super sleuth". Anyway, it was fun, I was Vicki Ravioli, and Joe was Congressman Toosteal. He looked pretty sharp I might add, and he wore (believe it or not) his blue tux that he wore to Prom his Junior or Senior year in High School. How would that be to fit into those clothes....don't answer if you can still fit in your high school clothes.
One of the girls there made these awesome cupcakes, they were Frankenstein's and Ghosts. So I brought a couple home for the kids, they loved them. All and all we had a great time. Here are some pics.

Cornbellies

Who knew cornbellies would be so fun. I mean, I knew it was going to be fun, but they had so much stuff to do this year. There was this "creature" that you walk through, it is like walking through his body, and there is even a heartbeat in the middle. We watched pig races, we rode on a cow tractor ride, we jumped on these jumping pillow things, the kids just had so much fun. Well, actually we all had so much fun. Thanks to our awesome neighbors who gave us tickets, we had such a fun time. Cornbellies is great!

Pumpkin FUN!!!
Last Monday we went down to the property on Geneva, and had a weenie roast. It was so much fun. We had a lesson on the Law of the Harvest, and the kids got to pick carrots, potatoes and pumpkins out of my father-in-law's AWESOME garden. They had too much fun getting muddy. Then we roasted weenies and smores, and one of my nephew's even broke his nose playing ghosts in the graveyard. He ran in to another niece. He was tough though. So yesterday we decided to paint the pumpkins we got from the garden. The kids had a great time painting. Last year we carved, and it was fun, but I think this was a little more "kid friendly"! Fun fun for FHE!!!

Being Quirky
I've been tagged yet again to share 6 quirks. You're gonna like this!
1. For some reason when I lock each door, I have to lock and unlock each door 3 times, or I SWEAR something will happen to me and my family, not only that, but I have to do my front door first, then the garage door, and the back door last.
2. I take wipes with me wherever I go. If things aren't clean, especially my kids, I freak out. I wipe the nobs before I open a door, and before I shut it too. It is a good thing costco wipes are so cheap!
3. I can tell people are following me, I guess you could call it a gift more than a quirk, but whatever. I swear there are always people following me. I notice them looking at me and as soon as I make eye contact, they are gone. Weird.
4. I am really good at straightening things. If anything is crooked in my house, I spot it from a mile away, and it is no longer crooked.
5. I have to floss after eating anything, just to be clean, you know!
6. I am really good at lying, if you are still reading this and know me, you had better be laughing, because NONE of this is really me! Got ya!! I guess I am just a quirky girl.
I tag Barbaloot, Janel, and whoever else wants to tell their REAL quirks! Oh, and sorry I don't follow rules.

Sleeping Beauty

Well, it is more like sleeping prince, but anyway. We went to check on all the kids last night and this is how Jack was sleeping. We thought it was too cute so we just had to get a couple of pictures. His pillow is at the top of his bed, and he is hanging off the side. I just have to say...my kids are TOO CUTE!!!!

Time FLIES!!!
Oh how they grow too fast. This was Mia at about 5 weeks! It just makes me sad to see how teenie she was and she is just growing way too fast. Does anyone else think this is depressing? I was looking at a picture of Kylee when she was a baby, and I can't believe how fast it went by. She is almost 5. NO!!! Anyway, that is Mia at 5 wks, and this is Mia at 7 months!

Fun Times.
Here is a collage of the fun times at the Dayton home. Kylee Decided she liked to brush Mia's hair straight down, so she would get a toothbrush and brush her hair down. Kids love bubble baths, and Mia took a bath in the sink. Fun, Fun times!!!

Happy Anniversary to ME!!

Yes, today makes 5 whole years together. I know crazy huh? I love this picture cause it pretty much sums "us" up! I remember our first year of marriage, I asked Joe..."can you believe it has been a year?" And do you know what he said...."YEAH!" Like yeah, it seems like it has been 10! Luckily the rest have been a lot more smooth! (the first was great too, don't get me wrong) I am the luckiest girl alive. I have the best husband, and cute kids to boot. Today we went to Tucano's for dinner YUMMO. (Thanks to Barbara again, who OFFERED to babysit, I know I am lucky right? Isn't she great?) Anyway Joe came up with the idea to play a memory game. We had different topics, like the first was most embarrassing moment since we have been together, and we would both give a memory etc. It was fun to go down memory lane with my hubby! AND, I get to have my carpets cleaned for my anniversary present....it is what I asked for! Love you Joe!

Hallie Peterson
My sister Mandy had her baby girl on Friday night. Hallie Peterson weighed just under 7 lbs, and looks TOTALLY Peterson to me. I guess Justin has some pretty strong genes, cause all their kids look like him. Here are some cute pics of the new baby. She was so aware when we went to see her, and she has a SUPER LONG tongue so we had to get a cute picture of that. I left my camera in the car, so thanks Mari for the pics!!

Gotta see it!
So, I know it is kinda "iffy" to talk politics, but I feel strongly about this one. I don't really LOVE Obama, or McCain, but I guess it is picking a lesser of two evils. This is a commercial that this guy made by himself. I promise it is worth watching. SORRY IF I OFFENDED ANYONE!!!
