Happy Birthday MOM!

Happy St. Patty's day to all! Today is my mom's birthday. She would have been 57 today. (I think) She was and I am sure still is a wonderful woman! I miss her all the time, but wanted to pay a special tribute to her today. I miss singing with her, I miss her hugs, and I especially miss just talking to her She taught me (alomost) everything I know, but the most important...my testimony is strong because of her example, and her testimony. She always put the Lord first. I just hope to become as good as a mother as she was. I love her sooooo much, and know I will have to opportunity to be with her again someday! Happy Birthday MOM!!! I LOVE YOU!.

oUr NiCe DaY oUt!

Well, the weather today was soooo beautiful we decided to go to the park. So, Joe, Kylee, Jack, Mia and I walked to the park. Can I just say it was soooo nice to get out of the house, and be in the fresh air and sunshine! I LOVED IT! We had lots of fun, including our first "blow-out" with Mia. Nice place to have it, at the park, with no extra clothes! Kylee figured out how to do the monkey bars all by herself. She is now obsessed with them, and does it over and over and over. Here is some video of my little Monkey Kylee!!

MIA DAYTON

The last time as just the three of us! I am on my way to the hospital dropping the kids off at the parents house! Mia is the name we decided on, she was 8lbs 4oz and 19 inches long. My water broke at about 1:00 and I went to the hospital at about 2:30. They started me on Pitocin at about 3:30 and Mia arrived at 7:25, so the whole process was quite quick compared to the other two.

Just thought I would inform everyone....I am headed to the hospital. My water broke at about 1:00 this afternoon, so here we go!!!!! I will try to post pictures soon! EXCITING!!

TAG we're it!!

Most embarrassing moment: Buffy- Well, I have quite a few embarrassing moments, and some of them I am definitely not going to share, but let me think of one that I CAN share... So, I was in eighth grade and in P.E. class and we were doing sit-ups we had to be with a partner, and this boy who I totally had a crush on was my partner. So her we are doing sit-ups he is holding my feet down and I totally let one go. I was trying so hard to pretend nothing happened, but he totally heard and started laughing. I was mortified. Joe- I don't get embarrassed. Usually things that make people embarrassed, make me laugh.
Favorite foods: Buffy- Food? I love food. I love a good salad, I love Italian, I also love P.F. Changs and Tucanos Brazilian Grill! I just love food. Joe- Steak!!!! Potatoes and meat and gravy.
Favorite vacations: Well, since we haven't been on too many vacations together YET, we would probably have to say.....the Alaskan Cruise we went on in June. It was so fun to be without the kids for a week. We went fishing, shopping, whale watching, and did lots of other fun stuff. It was a blast. And we ate a lot of food!! YUM
Favorite TV shows: Deal or no Deal, The Office, Sports Center, King of Queens, and Seinfeld. (I will watch anything if Joe is giving me a back or foot massage)
Three things most people don't know about me/us: 1- Joe cut three of his fingers off. (they are put back together thank goodness, but it was crazy) 2- Buffy was in the Miss Orem Pageant when I was in high school. (yeah, it was pretty funny) 3- Joe is totally afraid of heights and refuses to go on any type of amusement park ride with me. He will sometimes go with the kids on the kiddy rides, but he doesn't even like those very much.

Oh how I love Sundays

Today was a great day! Jack actually slept until almost 8:00 which is pretty much unheard of. We don't have church until 1:00 so we decided to go for a little Sunday drive up the canyon. It is SOOOOOO beautiful. I am absolutely sick of the snow and the yucky cold weather, but it was soooo beautiful. All the snow around the green trees, the waterfalls frozen, the smell, everything was just amazing. The kids had a blast with their binoculars we all were looking for any kind of animal in the mountains. Mostly Joe was looking for Elk and deer. We found lots of them. It was awesome and I don't even hunt. We saw a bunch of deer (some were so close to the car, the kids loved it) we saw a bunch of cow elk (girls) and we even saw some bull elk (the boys with the big "RACKS" as Joe calls them. I like to call them antlers.) WE also spotted a big moose. It was really fun. Then we went to church and had a great lesson in relief society that Pres. Hinkley spoke about in conference about being slow to anger. He will be greatly missed, but was such an amazing man while he was here. Then of course to end a wonderful day you HAVE to have family dinner with potatoes, meat and gravy! YUM! (we missed you Barbs) Anyway, Sundays are the best! I love them!!! Just thought I would share my wonderful day! We will see if it was my last Sunday with two kids!!

Can I get ANYTHING done around here?

Well, trying to get the house cleaned was a bigger "chore" than normal today. First of all because I am extra tired cause Jack woke up early and wouldn't go back to sleep. Second of all cleaning my house is already hard enough as it is not to mention being nearly 9 months pregnant. Well, today I got most of the kitchen done and Jack was ready for a nap. So I put him is his bed. Now, Jack has a tricky-doory-handle thing, you know the kind that is supposed to be "kid proof". The kind they have on the nursery doors. Well, we put one on his door because he was making a habit out of getting out of bed in the middle of the night. When he knew there was no option of getting out of his room, he would stay in bed all night. He hasn't figured out how to open it yet. (Kylee just barely figured it out) Anyway, I put the cleaning supplies in the bathroom downstairs (the one next to Jack's room) cause that was my next task after the kitchen was done. So, I go to finish the kitchen floor, and here I am thinking that Jack is sound asleep when somehow he opened his door took his daiper off (I am sure went pee somewhere) and started "cleaning" the bathroom. I came down to find him covered with comet cleanser and it was poured all over the bathroom floor, toilet and there was a trail halfway up the stairs. I was quite angry, but still hoping that he hadn't eaten any. It really is impossible to get anything done around this place. Here are some pics, I don't know if you will be able to see the gravity of the mess, but I had to take them anyway.

Jack and my socks.

Yesterday as we were trying to get the kids ready for bed, and I was trying to finish folding the laundry, Jack somehow grabbed a pair of my socks. Jack can barely get his own socks on, so it was very surprising to see my socks over his jammies all the way up to his knees. He is very capable when he wants to be. It made me laugh, and was a highlight of my day!

Mommy's day out

Today, I got to get pampered for a couple of hours. (I finally went and got my hair done). While I was gone Joe was in charge of the kids, and they decided to go sledding in the back yard. Since we have over 2 feet of snow in our back yard, and on our deck Joe made a slide going down the stairs for the kids to sled down. They had a blast, and when I figure out how to put stinking video on this blog I will post it, but for now there are just some picures. Kylee was wanting to stay out and play, but Jack was eating all the snow, so he got a little colder earlier on than Ky did. When I got home, he was freezing cold with rosy cheeks and fingers. Over all I think they had fun.

We love BIG messes.

Have you ever wondered what the fun is in bringing every toy, blanket, pillow, and book in the house, to one part of the house, to play? Well, this is my kids favorite thing to do as of late. They don't really have any rhyme or reason, they just gather everything they can to one part of the house and "pretend" that it is something. Sometimes it is a house, sometimes it is a cave, in this case it was the swimming pool. I am trying to get some clients hair done, and hear giggling. Next thing I know they are both in their swimming suits with a huge mess as their swimming pool. It is quite hillarious until it is time to clean up. All of the sudden the huge mess they made (by themselves I might add) is WAY to hard to clean up. Almost impossible...too heavy...too much. What is the deal with that? They can make the mess no problem, but when it comes to cleaning up, it is going to nearly kill them. I just have to laugh and wonder if I did the same thing when I was that age. Hey, atleast they have fun together, and I can get some clients in.

Nigerian Scams

Just so you all know. I guess someone wants me dead. I got a rediculous e-mail the other day that was quite threatening. It didn't bother me much, but I thought "I want to get someone in trouble for this." So I called the police today and they came to my house and checked it out. He said it was a Nigerian Scam, and that it is probably coming from outside of the country, and they just want money. So, if you get an e-mail from someone saying to "be more careful" and that someone want's you dead....just disregard it. DON'T SEND MONEY! I can't believe people actually send the money, but the cop said some people fall for it. Crazy!!!

My MAN Tag

I guess I have been tagged, I really don't know how to do this, but I will try. Here is a little about my man and me....

-What is his full name? Joseph Lyman Dayton
-How long have you been married? A little over 4 years. If you scroll all the way down my blog, you can see how long we have been married down to the day!!!
-How long did you date? Way too long. Just kidding. About 2 years and then got married right away! I wonder why!!
-Who eats more sweets? Oh gosh, that is all I eat. Joe is a healthy eater. He likes his desserts, but he is better at controlling himself than I am.
-Who said I love you first? He did. It took me a few times to get used to it. Oh but I love him!
-How old is he? 27, 28 on April 6th.
-Who is taller? He is and I love it!!
-Who is smarter? Um, like, I think he is.....???
-Who can sing better? Joe can sing good, but he hasn't been doing it his whole life. I like singing next to him in church, and when we are "jammin" but I think I am the better singer.
-Who does the laundry? You think I trust my clothes with Joe? NO WAY!! I do all the laundry
-Who pays the bills? He works for most of the money, so technically he "pays" the bills, but I am the one who writes all the checks, and makes sure they are in on time.
-Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do, but that is all about to change when the baby comes, so I can be closer to the door.
-Who mows the lawn? When we didn't have a H.O.A Joe did, but now they do, so he has a break. He doesn't mind it though, he even says sometimes he would prefer it.
-Who cooks dinner? Me, he won't even tell me what to make EVER!! I need a little help sometimes. Good thing he isn't picky!.
-Who drives? He does, but that doesn't me he is the BETTER driver!!!
-Who is more stubborn? Holy smokes. That is a tough one. It really depends on who you ask. We are both so stubborn, so maybe it is a toss up.
-Who kissed who first? Well, he is actually the one who went in for the kiss first, but I am the one who mentioned anything about it for the first time. I kinda told him I wanted to kiss him, but then we didn't for about a week.
-Who asked who out? First we played on the same soccer team together, then he asked for my # and asked me out!
-Who proposed? Joe, he took me up the the Provo Temple, and got down on his knee by the water fountain!
-Who has more siblings? Me, Joe is an only child. Oh just kidding, he has a plethera of siblings. Let me just name them all.....Taylor, Kenn, Chris, Brendon, McKay, Adam, Jared, David, John, Perry, oh and cute little Barbara at the end.
-Who wears the pants? He would like to think he does, but really....okay, really he does!!

Well, I have loved every second that I have had with my man. Even the horrible times. I wouldn't have wanted to spend it with anyone else. He is the best! And I mean the BEST!!! I feel bad for the rest of you, cause I know you didn't get the best, cause I did. I LOVE YOU JOE!!!!

Oh, and I Tag Jeni to do the same thing!!

Bubble Baths

Oh, how I wish I were a kid again! I do like though that I can live "vicariously" through my kids. They are so fun. They love to take baths. EVERY SINGLE DAY, they are begging me for a bath (in the middle of the day) they could probably stay in there for hours if I let them. I guess they take after their mom. I love to take baths too. Joe on the other hand won't even take a bath WITH me. Their latest thing to do in the bath tub is squirt everything with the squirt guns, and slide down one side of the bath tub into the water. They also love getting in and back out. I remember doing these sorts of things when I was little too. Hooray for bubble baths.

My husband the HERO!!!

I know this was like a year ago, but I thought I would blog it anyway, since it was a huge part of our lives! Last October Perry went into kidney failure and Joe happened to match perfectly and decided to give his little brother his kidney. Here are some pictures of before and after the transplant, and some with us anxiously waiting for the results. ENJOY!!!

Locked Out!!!

Well, today is Sunday, and we are supposed to be at church right now. About an hour and a half ago Joe realized that when he got home from scooping the walks at the church, he locked the keys in the car. Yes, we only have one key to our car. Well, we called the people to come and break into our car, and they said they would be 20-40 min. An hour later.....NOTHING!!! Joe called and they said someone was on the way. It is now 1:10 and church started at 1:00. SINNERS!! I am quite upset at the company. Just had to vent my frustrations somewhere. I feel like this is kind of a journal!! Yeah for journals!
