My Week and a Half in a Nutshell.

Okay, this is going to be a fun one.....I have the worst past couple of weeks, so I wanted to make sure you all knew and felt bad for me....just kidding, but I did want to get it down in writing in case I ever forget and take being healthy for granted. So, here is my week and a half in a nutshell, and it still isn't over.

Saturday July 19th- I started feeling really tired, and sore in a certain area...(boobie)
Sunday July 20th- I realize that I am not just sore, but I have Mastitis....not fun. So, my wonderful father-in-law calls me in a prescription, and I start on a antibiotic.
Monday July 21st- I started to feel pretty good.
Tuesday July 22nd- I started to feel really yucky again.....realized that I had a UTI....not fun....wonderful father-in law calls in another prescription.
Wednesday July 23rd- I started to feel pretty good again.
Thursday July 24th- Started getting an ache in my back again, which usually tells me something is wrong with my kidney's.......I ignore it.
Friday July 25th- Feeling tired and not so great.
Saturday July 26th- I am starting to think I may or may not have kidney stones, still have a pain in my back, and not feeling so great. Start to get a little itchy on chest and back.
Sunday July 27th- FEELING LIKE CRAP. Didn't go to church, slept, cried and wanted to die all day. I went to the insta-care doctor, they took some blood, and urine, and came up with....NOTHING!! The doctor did put me on a new prescription for my UTI, cause the other wasn't powerful enough.....we think....I start to get a lot of little red spots on my chest and back.
Monday July 28th- I wake up with red spots on my whole body.......TOTALLY ITCHY! I can't get relief. I have puffy eyes, swollen glands, sore throat, and extremely tired. The itchiness is a reaction from the antibiotic and MONO...Yes, I have MONO....no I haven't been kissing high school boys. I get some benedryll for my itchy body....can't sleep....ITCHY!!!!!
Tuesday July 29th- Still very itchy, my body is completely covered in red welt-like spots. I am tired. I hope you all feel bad now! Just kidding, but seriously you DO NOT want to be itchy for two days and nights straight....it is sooooo not fun. We will see what tomorrow brings. I forgot to mention that my wonderful husband has been so great this whole time. I am sure I have been impossible to live with, but he has been awesome, supportive, and gave me a blessing and said I would recover quickly....THANKS BABE!

MEMORIES.

The Memory Post

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is the most memorable for you.

2. Next, if you feel so inclined, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you...!

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. ☺

Sad Day.

Well, after a long 2 week vacation, which was great by the way. Mia decided that I wasn't producing enough milk for her. So today I decided to give her some solid food and a bottle. She actually liked it quite a bit. It is a sad day when you don't make enough milk for your child, and you love nursing soooooo much......like me. Oh well, I guess I will just keep doing as much as I can. On a lighter note.....the newest member of the Dayton family was born. Perry (Joe's younger brother) and Ana (his wife obviously) had their first baby today at 10:00 this morning. Thomas Perry Dayton weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. Cute little bugger with a weird shaped head! We are glad he is here safe and healthy. Pictures of Tommy and the fun two week vacation are on their way! But in the mean time enjoy this picture of Mia and her first solids.

Summer fun!

Last Thursday we went over to my sister Ana's house with my friend Hala and her two boys that we play with. She was nice to let us come and get her slip n' slide out and her little pool, and squirt guns, and it was such a blast! I love the summer, I love being outside, and playing with friends and cousins. Thanks Ana for the fun!

HELP!!!

I NEED HELP! I am trying really hard to be a good successful parent, but I think I am failing miserably. Now, I don't want ANYONE if you are reading this and planning on commenting, to say "oh, I think you are a great Mother....BLAH BLAH BLAH" that is not what I am looking for. I need some disciplining help. I want advice, or things that YOU do with your kids that you have found that works. Okay, so here is the situation.....it starts out like this.
7:15 a.m. Breakfast -Jack and Kylee play while they are eating, Buffy tries very patiently to get them to just eat, so they can play afterwords.
7:40- still "eating" breakfast (their bowls aren't even half gone), still playing, still trying to be patient.
8:00- Still haven't eaten, so I take breakfast away, and say "NO SNACKS"
8:15- time to clean rooms- Buffy says (cause we were planning on going swimming today) if rooms don't get cleaned, NO ONE goes swimming. I go upstairs to try and get some cleaning done myself.
8:17- Kylee says she wants to clean later, I say, that is your choice, but if it isn't done when it is time to go swimming, we won't go. She heads back down stairs.
8:30- Kylee runs upstairs and says "mom, come see what Jack has done." I go down stairs and see foamy soap all over the carpet and chair" both kids are sent to their own rooms with doors shut, and are not to come out until ROOMS ARE CLEAN.
8:35- both are out of rooms. Screaming and yelling is occurring.
8:36-9:00- I am really loosing my patience, keep telling them to clean, we have all lost the privilege of going swimming, and can't play at all today. I am still trying to get them to clean.
9:00- STILL NOT CLEAN. WHAT THE HECK DO I DO? Not only are they not clean, but Jack has made another big water mess in his room. He shook his sippy cup so much that all the water is now out and all over his bed, so he takes his sheets off and I wash them for the 4th time THIS WEEK!!! I sit down there and try and watch them clean still I have to get after them for playing when they should be cleaning. Then make them sit in their rooms for a while.
9:30-Big mess in the bathroom, so I tell them THEY are cleaning it up, but do you think they are doing it? NO! I have no idea how to punish my kids. All they do all day is yell and scream and cry and be disobedient. I can't send them to their rooms, cause they just come out. Unless I am sitting down there MAKING them stay in their rooms, it won't happen. Am I going crazy? I need some help on what other people do, or even what you think.
10:30- I have pretty much given up, they are still downstairs screaming and crying, but I don't know what to do. I ususally don't make such a big deal about cleaning, and I will even usually help them, but they were SOOOO disobedient that I couldn't do it today. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

My baby is getting TOO BIG!!!

I just can't believe how fast the time went by once Mia got here, it was like this with the other two also, but this one has really gone by fast!!!! Mia is already 3and 1/2 months old. Here are some pictures of her, just to compare them with the previous post! It just makes me remember how fast Kylee and Jack are growing too. I wish time could just stop sometimes. I don't want my kids to get older. I am loving being a mom of little kids, I don't know how I will do when they are teenagers. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Baby Mia

These pictures were taken by Rick Nye photography while we were in the hospital. My in-laws just gave us these yesterday, so I had to post them. She has grown sooooo much! I hate how fast the time goes. So here are Mia's glam shots only 1 day old!

MAGOO!!!

Thursday we (Me, Joe, Kylee, Jack, Mia, My sister Ana, her husband and kids Rod, Brandon and Joseph) decided to go to Magoo. What is Magoo you say? That is how Jack says Lagoon! We thought it was hilarious, so that is what we call it now. We sure had a lot of fun. We did make a VERY BIG mistake by going on the Tidal Wave first (one of my favorite rides) Kylee not so much. She (from the very beginning of the ride) looked like she was going to throw up. That was a little scary for me. Then she was quite afraid to go on any other ride until half the day was gone. Finally when she warmed up to other rides, she had a lot of fun. There is a smaller (kids version) of the tidal wave, and Joe made her go on that one. She was really scared at first, the pictures are hilarious, because the first few are her crying, and then they kinda get like "oh this isn't so bad" then the end ones she is actually smiling really big. Mia loved the rides....just kidding, but she did sleep most of the day and made it really easy for the rest of us. The day was perfect, a little bit chilly in the morning, so hardly anyone was there, then in the afternoon it got nice and warm but still not too many people there, so the lines weren't too long. For those of you who know Joe, you know he doesn't like big rides, so my sister Ana went on the big rides with me. Rod was the designated picture taker. (he doesn't like rides either) It was a fun day, it only made me want to go again!!

Fathers and Sons

Friday was our ward fathers and sons outing. Joe was so excited about it, he was preparing Jack for it about 2 weeks before the day, and on Friday was starting to pack everything including his dinner (which was going to get too warm because it needed to be in the fridge) at about 10 in the morning. They were leaving at 5 pm. Funny Joe. Kylee and I went over to our friend Julie Mechams house to learn how to make a pie, and to just hang out. We had a blast. Kylee watched a movie while Julie and I talked and made the yummy strawberry pie. There are a couple of way cute pictures from the camout with Joe and Jack, and some of a couple of little bumbs! Jack and his little buddy JJ had to go to the bathroom together on Sat. morning. Joe thought it was too cute to pass up taking a picture. Hopefully Hala (JJ's mom) doesn't mind that I am showing everyone her sons rear!

BBQ

If this shouldn't be an ad for country time lemonade, I don't know what should. Yesterday we went to the park with our neighbors, and had a BBQ. It was really fun, especially for the kids. We pretty much only drink water and milk in our house except for special occasions, so you can tell by the picture, that Jack was very excited to have is Pink Lemonade. Barbeque's are always fun, but especially when the kids are having fun. We had a few "moments". One of which, was Kylee was having so much fun she forgot to tell us she needed to go to the bathroom. Yes, our 4 year old had an accident. I can't remember the last time that happened with her. We scratched the Tahoe on a fence. (not as bad as it sounded!) But overall it was a fun time! It was definitely a night to remember.

Scootin' along

Thanks to Jake and Mari, Kylee and Jack really want a "motorcycle". They came over for dinner the other night and let us test ride their scooter. The kids had a blast and didn't want to get off. (and when I say kids I mean primarily Joe) Joe had way too much fun riding this thing. It was quite fun to watch. I admit, I had some fun too! Thanks Jake and Mari for letting us scoot on your scooter!

Zoo Fun.

Oh how I love the ZOO!!! We decided to head to the zoo the other day, and it was the perfect day to go. The sun was mostly behind the clouds, it wasn't too crowded, and the animals were out! I hate when I go to the zoo and all the animals are sleeping. That is how I thought it was going to be, but we got to see most all of them. Kylee and Jack's favorite part was riding the train that lasted all of 5 min, and we didn't really even see a lot of animals. I think they just liked the Train. All in all the day was quite nice. I enjoyed being together as a family. Fun times.

She's the dancing queen, young and sweet only 17..I mean 4 years old!!

Kylee had her first dance recital last Saturday, and it was way fun! She had two songs to perform. I wondered how she would do since when anyone asks her to do her dance, she gets really shy and refuses to do it. It was funny, because all the girls came onto the stage, the music took a while to start, and Kylee just stood there and kept waving to everyone in the crowd. He teacher would try and motivate the girls by telling them if they did good, they would get trophies. Kylee did very good, and looked very cute. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Hard to see her but she's there.

Like Father Like Son!

I meant to write about this a couple of weeks ago, but never got to it, so this is a little old. We recently (a couple of months ago) started potty training Jack (which is a story in and of itself). He has been doing pretty well, and he loves his "big boy under-roo's" We went to the store and he couldn't decide on Shrek, Thomas the Train, or Diego, so we got all of them. He now is pretty much completely potty trained except for nap and night time. When we were first starting, he pretty much ran around with just his "roo's" on, so that is what is going on here. He had just been running around, and I realized it was all quite so I started looking for him thinking I was going to find a big mess along with him. To my surprise he was just reading on our bed. He had found Joe's hunting magazine and was totally enthralled with it. So I HAD to get a picture of it. He is in his Diego roo's reading the hunting magazine on the bed. LIKE FATHER LIKE SON! I tell you, you can't teach them these kinds of things. He is definitely our little boy! We love him to pieces.

Not so Mid-Life CRISIS!!!

Oh my word, where do I begin? Yesterday my life was fairly normal...today, not so much. I took Kylee to dance yesterday and came home to a different son. Joe decided to go ahead and buzz Jack's hair. I was SHOCKED. It looked like he buzzed and bleached my sons hair because it is so light at the roots. I STILL can't get over it, everytime I look at him I am surprised. As you can see, that is not all. I think Joe must be going through a not so mid-life crisis, because this morning he went down to my salon and decided to start buzzing HIS OWN hair. I thought I new who I married, but I don't think I really do. I would have never thought he would do this. SO, moral to the story.....don't have a salon in your basement!!!! Who knows what will happen. Well, there are three more people in this family I wonder who will be next!!!!!!

My "Challange"

Barbara Dayton was chastised and then "challenged" anyone reading her blog to do the same, and that is to think of ten things you are thankful for in your life right now, and list them. STOP COMPLAINING!!! Obviously we all know I am thankful for my husband since I did a whole blog entry about that, so I am going to leave him out of the ten, just so I don't bore anyone. These are in no particular order, just come as they come!!

1. Tiny baby smiles and squeaks. So small, yet so huge they can change my day from horrible to spectacular! Little Mia has started to smile, and I tell you, when she does it brightens my whole day!
2. My family. I have always been thankful for family, but my dad recently told us he was moving to Florida and it made me really think. I have always been close to my dad and now he is moving. We have family dinners every Thursday night at his house and it is all going to change. My family (in-laws included) has always been there for me and helped me out when I am in a bind!
3. Warm weather. I am so glad that it is starting to warm up finally. I can go outside and go to the park and jog outside instead of inside on my treadmill...boring!!!
4. Kylee and Jack's prayers. Children are so innocent, I love it. This morning when Jack was saying the blessing for breakfast, he blessed Jesus. It was the cutest thing and as soon as he finished his prayer, he looked at me and said "I bless Jesus mommy!" Kylee also says cute things. She always makes sure she blesses me and Mia. They are so innocent, yet so powerful!
5. Food. I know I am kind of a pig, but I AM thankful for food. It is just so good, and I love eating. I know it is probably some sort of a disorder, how much I like food, but oh well!
6. Senses. Yes I am talking about sight, hearing, touch, smell, and we know how I fell about taste already. I mean honestly could I live without any of these? NO!! I am thankful for music that I can hear, and sing. I would die if I couldn't see my kids everyday! Anyway, you get the point.
7. Massages. Need I say more?
8. Costco. Whoever thought of bulk everything deserves an award.
9. Health. After being sick for a week it makes me thankful for being healthy all the time. That is something I definitely take for granted.
10. The Gospel. Everything that I am is based on the Gospel. I am thankful for our Prophet and all he does for this Church and for me. I am thankful for the Atonement and the knowledge that we have. I am thankful that families can be together forever, and that I will see my mom again!!!!!

Now, I challenge you (and by "you," I mean whoever is reading this) to do the same thing. Leave a comment about something for which you are thankful. Or write you own post about it. Or make a poster and stand on the road for everyone to see. Or write a song. Anything really. However, if you leave a comment it will make me happy because I'll think I have friends and/or readers and that will be one more reason for me to be thankful.

Also, if you read this and don't do something that resembles a thankful act, I'll judge you. Well...I guess I have no way of knowing who you are and whether you chose to be thankful or not, but know that if I did, I would judge you. And I mean that in the nicest way possible:) (This is all what Barb said, but I totally agree!!! GET TO IT!!!)

Ode to the best guy EVER!

Yes, this is a tribute to Joe. I just have to say how grateful I am for my wonderful husband. (Yes Barb, I give you permission to make fun of me this one time, but I gotta do it). It has been six weeks since Mia was born, and everyone keeps asking me..."Is it so hard with three?", and I just have to say not so much! The only reason why I can say that is because of the wonderful support and help from Joe. He has helped out so much with this baby, from giving me massages, to getting up in the middle of the night with Jack,(yes, Jack not Mia) to letting me sleep in in the morning when the kids are ready to be awake at 6:30. He is so great! I can't tell him how much I love him, so I thought I would try to express it in my "journal/blog". I have been sick this week, so I have been extra tired, and moody, and have had less patience, but Joe has been more supportive, given me more massages, and gotten up early so I can sleep in more! Now that is just a small part that I am grateful for. He is a worthy Priesthood holder, he does his home teaching every month, he fulfills his callings (all three of them) he is HOT, and a great dad. He played with the kids for two hours yesterday before bed, and it wasn't like sitting reading a story, it was Ultimate fighting, and soccer, and basketball, and keep away, and swinging them, and wrestling with them. What can I say, I definitely married well! Thanks Joe for everything you do! I LOVE YA!!!

SICK = LAME!!!

Well, I woke up today with a sore throat, headache, and just tired.....NOT FUN! According to my sis-in-law Barbara, sick = lame (I totally agree)!! Joe decided to take the kids to his parents house to let me take a little nap, and left Mia here. She was sleeping when he left, and about 5 min after he left, she woke up wanting to be held. (GO FIGURE) So, I held her and she was a happy little thing, so I decided to video her a little. She was smiling and talking a little. There are two vide's here, and one, right when I pushed record she sneezed twice. I love baby sneezes! The other one she smiles for just a second, then talks a little. (the talking honestly sounds fake, kind of like a mouse, you have to listen closely) Mia is almost 6 weeks old. OH how the time flies after they are here!! WEll, the one with her sneezing isn't working for some reason, so this is all you get!
